On the occasion of Women's Rights Day, we continue our portraits of the association's members, and this time it is Charlotte Courtois, founder and coordinator of Konstelacio, who has agreed to introduce herself.

1. Introduce yourself in a few words.

My name is Charlotte Courtois, founder and coordinator of Konstelacio. I am passionate about cultural diversity and deeply enjoy sharing the values that are important to me: curiosity, respect, kindness, empathy... People (and traveling to meet other people!) are central to my life!

2. What dish stands out from your childhood?

I could imagine a complex dish, a festive dish, an unusual dish, but ultimately, my Proustian madeleine is my paternal grandmother Mamie Jeannine's deviled eggs. I can still see her at the end of the table, with her dish towel, preparing the eggs with her unbeatable mayonnaise (using whole eggs, so nothing goes to waste!). And then arranging them on the large platter, with the raw vegetables, which took its place in the middle of the large table with the whole family. How nostalgic!

The Lyra Group

3. What style or artist from around the world would you recommend we listen to? How did you discover them?

I want to say Lyra, of course, the band we created as part of Konstelacio's eponymous project, but to introduce you to something else, I'm going to say Titi Robin. Especially the album "Taziri" with the luminous and radiant Mehdi Nassouli. I discovered them by chance, at a concert in Saint Brieuc. Since then, their music has had a special place in my daily life, taking me on a journey even when I'm cozy at home.

4. Which story/book/legend has had a lasting impact on you and why?

It's not very original, but I would say "The Little Prince."Because he is curious, because he discovers all the facets (happy and less happy) of humanity as he travels, and because he invites us to see the world through the eyes of a child.

6. What would you say to someone considering joining the association?

Come on!!! Konstelacio is one big family. We carry out ambitious projects all over the world, but we also enjoy spending time together with our wonderful community of people who believe that diversity is a source of richness.

5. Why did you get involved with Konstelacio, and what are your hopes for its future?

I created Konstelacio because I wanted to share my wonder at the diversity of our world with young people. To show them, as early as possible, that discovering others is exciting and helps us to better understand ourselves.
