Alongside its flagship projects,Polaris,Lyra, andUrsino, Konstelacio offers programs in schools, hospitals, media libraries, recreation centers, youth and cultural centers, and more, both in France and abroad. We run flexible educational workshops to best meet the needs and educational projects of the host organization. These workshops highlight the concepts of culture, discovering the world, citizenship, and respect for diversity. The programs are developed in collaboration with the supervisory team.
And it was in Acigné, near Rennes, that we had the pleasure of resuming these workshops after two years of pandemic. The Chat Perché nursery school welcomed us for a day to work with all the classes in the school. We were eager to meet the children again so they could tell us about their lives and to forge bonds between them that transcend borders and prejudices.
Focusing on the story"The Fabulous Journey of Arwenn," the activities began with a reading of the book and a viewing of Lyra's Indo-Tunisian-Breton music videos. Next, we played the "Hello Around the World" game, in which the children were invited to say hello to each other in the languages and with the greetings of different countries. Finally, we continued with activities to raise awareness of countries around the world, combining stories from various origins and songs in different languages.
This day was an opportunity for the students of Acigné to discover the incredible diversity of lifestyles and to ask themselves questions about each person's cultural identity, our differences, and our similarities.
We would like to thank Hélène, a teacher at the school, member of Konstelacio, and member of our educational committee, for putting us in touch with her school.
We continue to approach schools to conduct educational activities in France and abroad (particularly in French high schools). If you would like us to hold workshops at your children's school, please don't hesitate tocontact us and put us in touch!
