Perhaps you are already familiar with Lyra's work, but if not, here is an opportunity to discover this little gem ofmusical dialogue between Brittany, India, and Tunisia.
Lyra is both the name of a band and an educational project led by Konstelacio. Lyra brings togethersix musicians from Brittany, Tunisia, and Indiawho want to share with the public their belief that discovering other cultures enriches us and allows us to better understand our own roots. Lyra's artistic project lies somewherebetween tradition and original creation. The aim is not to focus solely on the commonalities between the three traditions, at the risk of rendering them insipid, but rather to retain the essence of each in order to create something new, drawing on all the richness and subtleties of the three cultures.

Since 2015, the group's members have traveled to each of the three countries to compose their musical repertoire and give concerts. But they have also taken the opportunity to visit1,300 childrenin schools, hospitals, and orphanages toraise awareness of the beauty of diversity and musical heritage from here and elsewhere. These trips and encounters led to the creation of a book and CD ("Le fabuleux voyage d'Arwenn," published by Les Braques), an album ("Lyra," published by Konstelacio, distributed by Coop Breizh), and a documentary ("Le fabuleux voyage," by Simon Guyomard).

It was therefore Lyra's entire body of work thatthe Académie Charles Croswished to reward with aCoup de Cœur Musiques du monde award on March 21. The entire Konstelacio and Lyra team is very honored and touched!
