Charlotte Courtois, founder of Konstelacio, was invited in early May 2018 by the French Institute in Fez as part of the "La Cigogne Volubile" book fair and the International Cultural Heritage Festival.
She had the pleasure of meeting nearly 80 young Moroccan students during workshops based on her book and CD, "Le fabuleux voyage d'Arwenn" (Arwenn's Fabulous Journey) (seeLyra – The Project). The first workshop was organized in the Taounate countryside for the Cigogne Volubile "Hors les murs" (Outside the Walls) project.
The school gave her a wonderful welcome, and the students were captivated by the story and thought about everything Arwenn would discover if she came to Morocco. A second workshop was organized at the French Institute with a school in Fez, and its students were just as enthusiastic.
On Friday, May 11, Charlotte Courtois spoke at the round table discussion "Cultural Heritage: Challenges and Issues" organized as part of the International Cultural Heritage Festival in the sublime Fondouq Chemmaine. She spoke about the importance of passing on cultural heritage (both tangible and intangible) to new generations, the issue of access to culture, and the evolving and dynamic nature of cultural identity.
